Lys Hansen to exhibit in Austria

Lys Hansen, chair of Forth Valley Open Studios, will exhibit in Austria later this year after a European curator visited her studio during last year’s Forth Valley Open Studios.

Lys gave a talk recently on the work of Open Studios to members of the Tillicoultry branch of the Scottish Women’s rural Institute.

She spoke about the growing demand on the part of artists to take responsibility for both showing and selling their own work and said that this was reflected in the fact that more than 150 artists will be taking part in this, the fourth year, of the event from 8-16 June.
