Welcome

Come and celebrate the 10th Year of Forth Valley Art Beat
Artists across Central Scotland participate in open studios, installations, exhibitions, popup shows…. and more
Lys Hansen, Honorary Chair FVAB
WELCOME visitors, dear friends and artists. Once more into the fray, dear artists and makers. Thank you so much for being creators and taking the time to open your studios and share your talents, ideas and time. This is a community occasion and well worth the effort.
The year passes so quickly and after what seemed along winter, we greeted Spring with joy and excitement. New energy arises along with fl owers, budding trees and blossom. All nature is on our side now, this summer! I personally get great joy preparing for this event, knowing that happy visitors will call at my studio.
Looking through this brochure, I can see a splendid array of demonstrations and events in the many crafts and techniques of making. This is very special to witness. Happy hands making means happy hearts and a wonderful feeling of satisfaction and the adventure of trying!
Please enjoy it all, visitors and artists alike, and do bring your family and friends along too.
Best wishes to all. Lys Hansen.
Avril Nicol, Project Co-ordinator FVAB
It is an incredible honour to have been involved in Forth Valley Art Beat since its inception in 2010. I would like to congratulate Ann Shaw for being the driving force in getting the event off the ground and creating a wonderful annual opportunity for artists throughout the community to connect with each other and the wider public.
Over the past ten years approximately 300 artists have participated in the event and we have been fortunate to have collaborated with many art organisations across Forth Valley.
The event is dependent on your participation so thank you to all who have taken part over the last ten years. We are looking forward to this year’s programme and as always thinking ahead to future years. With this in mind we would love to hear your feedback and ideas about how to take the event onward to the next ten years!
