About the Artist
The Little Blue Shed is back on the artist map after a wee while away and I look forward to welcoming you down the steps into my little garden studio. Come and see Scottish landscape inspired paintings, prints, drawings and small handmade gifts and cards. My miniature gallery will extend into the garden when the weather permits, and you are most welcome to enjoy some free home baking and chat too.
My original paintings are mostly quite small (max 300 x 300 mm) and I use a range of drawing and collage materials along with acrylics to capture the light and weather of Scottish landscapes. Prices range from as little as £3 for handmade cards up to around £250 for the largest framed works.
The Little Blue Shed studio is located at the bottom of our small garden down 12 steps, so it is unfortunately not accessible to visitors with mobility issues. however, the access from the drive is a gentle slope and I would be happy to bring some work to view in the upper part of the garden, weather permitting if that is helpful.
The shed is my bolt-hole and sanctuary from a busy life of high school teaching and family commitments. I love the space, small as it is - it is like my own private beach hut retreat. I wish to inspire others to find their own little spot in which to flex their creative muscles too. Appointments can be made at other times in the year to see my work, by calling my mobile number or contacting me via personal message on the Facebook page. I look forward to seeing you, and hope you enjoy all that is to be seen in the Artbeat Open Studios events of 2017.
